SECRETARY’S REPORT Joy is out of town so it's me. About 40 people attended the Feb. meeting where Tom Little was our program person. He did a beautiful job. Too many birds to remember, but I recall him saying that about 400 birds come through the Rockford area. We did not have a 50/50 drawing, but took up a collection for our piggy bank, of $20.75 which brings our total to $180.10. Warren was back among us, but Dick Aleshire was on the sick list. The next meeting will be Wed. March 5 2008. Show up between 11:30 and 11;:45 and don't forget to call in a numaber to me at 399-0120. See you there. Respectfully submitted - Lou Suit |

I'm John Weber and I retired from Sundstrand Arizona to relax & and get some desert sunshine. I worked in the Contracts department for the last 10 years or so, after working in Production, Purchasing, and Shipping for the first 10 years. My wife and I now rent an acre in the middle of a huge ranch, and have a tiny shop where we sell rattlesnake crafts that we make from the rattlers we catch every summer. We're located just about 15 miles from Tombstone, so we get 500 to 700 tourists per month, who come to Arizona mainly to visit Tombstone. We use just about every part of the rattlers in our crafts and jewelry. The vertebrae can be used for hatbands, necklaces and earrings, and the rattles for key chains, hat tacs, and necklaces. We use the skin for wallets, belt buckles, check book covers, belts, bracelets, barrettes and more. We even make earrings from the rattler's fangs and jerky from the meat for the more adventurous visitors. Because of our somewhat weird choice of lifestyle, we've had lots of Sundstrand old-timers as visitors over the years, with the most recent ones being Milt Brown, Hugh Hickey and John Marinaro, who are all former Contracts guys. Sandy and I have always thoroughly enjoyed the visits of Sundstrand retirees and their wives, in between the visits from our 16 grandkids. Here's a photo of the kind of critters we hunt........ Best regards, John Weber |

City,State? Seattle, Washington (our family loves it here!) Family Status, Children, Grandchildren, etc. My husband Gary, and I have 2 sons, Chris (25) and Cameron (17) Where did you work at Sundstrand? In Electric Power Engineering with Jim Parrish and then most of the program managers and engineers When did you retire? I requested leave from Sundstrand in April 2002, and moved to Seattle a few months later when we had sold all of our rental property Years of service to Sundstrand? 22 Years of service What do you do to stay busy now? Have my own company - Progressive Judgment Recovery Services. For the last 3 years I have been helping people in Washington state recover their court-awarded judgments. When I left Sundstrand I was working as a Contract Administrator and achieved a Certified Professional Contracts Manager certification, and am still part of their organization. Working on judgment recovery has been challenging and very rewarding. Tracking down judgment debtors involves background checks, working with the district and superior courts, legal and contractual expertise, licensed private investigation, negotiation with judgment debtors and creditors, investigative computer skills and attention to detail, besides everything it takes to run a business. This is not a job I plan to retire from anytime soon, as I thoroughly enjoy working on a variety of cases. Check out my website: http://www.enforcemyjudgment.com/showsite.php?site=1777 Email... katsul@comcast.net Comments: Say HELLO or what ever you
choose. Most enjoyed working at
Sundstrand on programs and projects with John Spitzer, Sandy Hewitt, Ron
VanKessel, Jan Pauly and Pauletta
Jordan.
Back in the late 80's we had great fun in
Electric Power. We were always having a party for some reason (Bosses Day,
yearly Summer Picnic, Thanksgiving, Christmas Party, Pizza in the Park, Polar
Bear Picnic). During the Christmas holidays we usually decided on some
type of donation project. One year our department adopted an entire
kindergarten class. Each child received a decorated Xerox paper-sized box
that had a toy, outfit for church, mittens, book, stuffed animal and some
candy. Once we collected over 200 Golden Books for a local children's
home. Another year, we adopted the Jay Enloe family after he had his
accident, and paid their Sundstrand insurance deductible for the year and
dropped off a carload of food, toys, and gift certificates to their
home. Many times we met in Jan Pauly's basement and did all of the
organizing and wrapping while we had a pizza party. We always tried to
plan fun things in our department. One year for Bosses' day, we had the
managers take the challenge of a Sundstrand coloring book contest and the winner
got a MacDonald's coupon book for breakfast! Another year, we all met at
the park and gave the mangers Burger King paper crowns with a huge cake and a
baked chicken luncheon. I'm sure there are still some photos floating
around the company somewhere of all the events we had in our department.

Clifford E. Pundt ![]() Residing 3 ½ miles ESE of roscoe, Illinois. (For the last 20
years) Yes, I still have my darling first wife Lorna, and we
recently achieved our 59th anniversary looking forward to another
59. Beginning in 1953, my first duty at Sundstrand was to make authorized
Engineering changes on product drawings. (At $1.10 per hour) After 36 ½ years of fun employment, working in and through
several distinguished departments, I retired in 1990 as Manager of Engineering,
in Overhaul & Repair Services. Our time is partially used up making the gas suppliers rich
by buying gas to keep a lot of Dr. and dental appointments. (It’s not all that bad) We have our usual aches &
pains but are not unique. We do enjoy golf & dining out. I don’t have
to do the dishes and don’t have the burnt offerings from the grill that I
am so capable of. The attachment is Lorna & Respectfully , Cliff Pundt |
