November 11, 2009 Retiree Lunch 11:30 am – 1:00 pm in Conference Room 39, at Plant 6 (4747 Harrison Avenue, Rockford) Room will be open at 11 but not the cafateeria. She knows how early retirees arrive. Please call LOU SUIT 815-399-0120 Inform him who will be coming for lunch. Call no later than November 7 , 2009 November 11 Robert Carl Hartman, grandson of Carl Larson who is now famous for making Larson guitars and mandolins. December 9 we will be meeting for the Plant ONE tour. More details will be in the December Issue of the "Reporter" Hello all, I know it's still awhile away, but I wanted to get this to you so you can plan to attend. The plan for the December luncheon is to hold it at Plant 1 instead of Plant 6. As you remember, at last December's meeting, our Joe Shiver spoke about all the changes that were going to happen. Well, they're now all in place, so we'd like to fulfill our promise to have the retirees be among the very first from the community to see inside. Vera has scheduled a speaker (Diane Clikeman-Miller). My thought is, after Diane speaks, we would offer plant tours to all who are interested. Your thoughts & comments welcome…I

Art McElroy (85th birthday) email SmokeyPtBandit@aol.com![]() ![]() Seems like everyone is too busy or feel they have little to say to take the time to give you some input for the Retiree Reporter so I will give you an update. It’s been a couple of years so I guess the time is right. Just want to say hi to all of my friends and hope that you
are enjoying life as much as I am. I am still living in Amber is still working at the I am keeping active with my exercise program (swimming and weight lifting) several times each week. My photography and video hobby keeps me busy, not to mention trying to keep pace with Nicole. We still find time to do some hiking and mountain climbing which is even more fun now that we have Nicole to join us. Everything is going well here and the economy is picking up. Lots of job openings at this point, but a lot of the people from the countryside are reluctant to return to the major cities until they are sure the jobs are going to last. If anyone has any questions about life in this part of the world I would be more than happy to answer them. Again, best wishes to all. |
