aka MOE to his non Sundstrand friends, was born and raised on a farm

Presently lives on a 20 Acre farm in plain sight of his birthplace. Love of horses goes back to his childhood, when draft horses were the power source for his dad's farm. About 3 years before retirement, thinking about what he would do with his liesure time, he acquired a mini horse. This was a great idea and soon got to be 30 mini horses on a 20 acre farm, with a new house, new barn/stable and many box stalls. These mini-horses average about 250 pounds, max height of 34 inches. I worked 30 years 2 months 6 days at Sundstrand
Corp before retireing on Dec. 19 1986 celebrated 20 years retirement
last Dec.
My years were spent working in the test lab,
burring, elox, grinders, and inspection with a short term in machine
tool. The test lab got most of my years mostly at plant 1 and a short
time on harrison Ave,
When I retired in 1986 my wife and I would spend 6 months in
Fl and 6 months in Wis.We took many spur of the momment trips that we
really enjoyed. We might be sitting watching TV or maby playing
Shuffelboard and I would say lets go to Wash., SC Texas , Okla, NY,or
any place and in a few hours we would be heading down the road.We were
packed to go to Canada one day and as we were getting ready we decided
to go to Tacoma to see an old airforce buddy instead. That old Buddy
came back last week to help celebrate our 50th annv.We went to Tacoma
last Aug. to his as I was in his in1956 Had a swell time.We decided to
sell out three years ago and moved to Loves Park.
I enjoyed a lot of my
retirement doing handyman work in Fl. and Wis. Built a lot of decks and
sheds and did a lot of pluming and electrical work .We spend a lot of
time on the computers now ,Theres no end to the enjoyment there.
I
will miss the monthly paper but it sounds like Ron, Lou and You are
stepping in to take over. Thanks a 1,000,000,00. Im sure there will have
to be dues to keep things going .Will step up to the plate when nessary |

We have created this web site for our communication. Any and all information, data, pictures that you wish to shaare with us please email to warren88@aol.com If you 'bookmark' or put it tis site in your favorite places, you can return to it easily every time you wish to see it, In
the first 24 hours we had over 200 'hits'(in 36 hours, over 300) In
two weeks, 500
people reading the web site.. WONDERFUL, it is getting out to a lot of retirees. First day of the month, we send the site to Dick Aleshire for mailing to the masses. Be sure to meet this deadline, Or it must wait a month. Use of email will eliminate the need of retyping the information, and digital pictures will work great on a web site. Your input here, can make a wonderful site for others to see what and how we are doing. Any information sent to me will be included in one of the next issues of the web site/newsletter. The pictures from our gatherings may miss a few faces, an effort will be made to include everyone in attendance. As you can see my mobility is limited, Harriet Brown took picks at the Feb. meeting...Many Thanks to her !!!!See her pics below. I can offer the use of my digital camera for any one willing to help us. Warren Carlson 969-0082 ![]() |
